Counseling Center Announcements

SENIORS -- Please make sure you are regularly checking your student email.

College/Military Visits
Juniors and Seniors are eligible to attend college/military visits and must sign up in advance to attend no later than 3:30 the day before each visit. The signup sheets are hanging outside Mrs. Shy's office. All visits will be during Advisory.



Guidance Services
Your counselor is available for individual counseling about personal and social issues.
Please ask your teacher for permission to come to the counseling office at any time.

COUNSELOR UPDATES AND INFORMATION, SENIOR INFORMATION, SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
~ Make sure you regularly visit the Counseling Page on the website under the Chaffee Jr/Sr High School Tab.
~ Sign up for the School's Mobile App and Alert System.
~ Sign up for the Jr/Sr High School Announcements.
~ Seniors need to check their school mailboxes frequently.


Just a few reminders from the counselor‘s office:
1. SENIORS: Check your school mailboxes daily for senior information.
2. JUNIORS:  Email or see Mrs. Shy if you have questions about classes, credits, ACT, etc.
3. ALL STUDENTS: Check your school email daily if at all possible.  Students may schedule individual conferences (in person or virtual) with the counselor at any time.

Post-Graduation Planning
It's never too early to begin planning for your future! The internet is an invaluable tool as you plan for post-graduation. Begin by researching college websites, career options or military service. Meet with your school counselor to ensure that your high school courses are aligned with the requirements for college admission, employment or enlistment.

CHAFFEE HIGH SCHOOL
REQUEST FOR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

1. Request form must have a signature, or it will not be processed.
2. A copy of parent or student photo ID must accompany the request form.
3. Please allow THREE full working days to process. Processing at the end of each semester will take longer.
4. Transcripts will NOT be released for students who have prior financial obligations to the high school.
5. All transcripts mailed directly to/or picked up by the student will indicate “Issued to Student.”
