Following a comprehensive search process, involving surveys and several special meetings, the Chaffee R-II Board of Education has selected a familiar face to serve as the new superintendent to lead the district beginning July 1, 2022. Dr. Shawn Nix, who served in the district from 2003 through 2015 will step into the role as superintendent after the retirement of Brad Blackman, current Superintendent of Chaffee R-II Schools.

Chaffee Jr/Sr High School (Grades 7-12) will return to school on the "Green" Instructional Plan, and Chaffee Elementary School will continue on the "Green" Instructional Plan for all non-virtual students on January 5, 2021.
