Chaffee R-2 School District
Safe Return to In-Person and Continuity of Services Plan (SRCSP)

We encourage our Chaffee Families to visit our 2021-2022 Safe Return to School Plan as it has been revised since last school year and revised a second time in November 2021.   Additionally, the CDC and DESE have revised their guidance for public education and information regarding COVID -19 and updates can be found on the CDC ( and DESE ( websites. District leaders will continue to seek guidance from the federal, state and local agencies but will continue to make decisions that specifically relate to our district.

Review and Revision Process:

In August of 2020, the Chaffee Board of Education approved a Safe Return to School Plan.
This plan was developed to assist with the reopening of the Chaffee R-2 School District and to outline precautions the district will take to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and students. The guidelines referenced in this plan are based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Scott County Health Department.  If necessary, this plan will be revised every six months to keep up to date with state and local guidance. As revisions are made, the district and board of education will seek input from stakeholders such as teachers, parents, community members, students and local health agencies.
Public comments in regards to this plan will be welcome during school board meetings for the 2021-2022 school year.
In addition, the CDC and DESE have revised their guidance for public education and information regarding COVID -19 and updates can be found on the following websites:
